Northern Horizons: Exploring the Future of Incentive Travel at Sea
A New Take on Incentive Travel
What happens when you invite some of the brightest minds in incentive travel to co-create an experience that redefines what’s possible at sea?
You get Northern Horizons—a multi-day voyage from Iceland to Ireland aboard Atlas Ocean Voyages’ World Traveller, conceived as a living exploration of luxury, adventure, and design. The journey, co-curated by Atlas Ocean Voyages, 3D Cruise Partners, and Events Design @ Sea, brought together five leading incentive planners from across North America for an immersive taste of what incentive travel could look like when every touchpoint is elevated—and the open ocean is your canvas.
“This voyage showed us what’s possible when partners truly collaborate—not just on logistics, but on vision. We didn’t just sail from one port to another. We journeyed beyond the horizon of what incentive travel can be.”
The Route Less Travelled
The itinerary was nothing short of spectacular, weaving together the cinematic beauty of Ísafjörður, the wild majesty of the Faroe Islands, the dramatic coastlines of Scotland, and the charm of Dublin. Each stop delivered a new frontier in scenery, culture, and inspiration.
But what set this journey apart wasn’t just the destinations—it was the details in between. From bespoke onboard dinners to thoughtfully crafted moments of connection, EDS designed a series of elevated experiences that bridged land and sea, blending elegance with authenticity.
A Creative Sandbox at Sea
Whether gathered for a windswept cocktail hour or debriefing over a whisky by the fireplace, our guests weren’t just along for the ride—they were co-pilots in a bigger idea: If you can dream it on land, why not bring it to sea?
This was more than a fam trip. It was a creative sandbox. A floating workshop. A chance to ask: What if the next frontier of incentive travel isn’t a place at all, but a mindset?
